Opet which is making a difference in the fuel distribution industry, was deemed worthy of six different awards at the Stevie International Business Awards (IBA). In the competition where the best companies in the world were evaluated, it was the only company from Turkey to receive an award in its category which is the Energy branch in the "Company of the Year" category by taking the second place. While “OPET Women's Power Project” is the Best Corporate Social Responsibility project in Europe, the communication works carried out within the scope of the project were deemed worthy of a gold award in the "Communication or Public Relations Campaign of the Year - Equality, Inclusion and Diversity" category, and a silver award in the "Energy Sector Innovation of the Year" category. The “OPET Tevfikiye Archeo-Village” project received a gold award in the “Social Responsibility Activities” category and a silver award in the “Communication of the Year or Public Relations Campaign-Corporate Social Responsibility” category.

“We produce long-term and living projects targeting social problems”
OPET's General Manager Cuneyt Agca made the following assessment regarding the awards; “Social responsibility projects have been a part of our corporate culture since the day we were founded. We put the priority needs of the society at the center of each of our social responsibility projects and carried out works for them. We produce long-term and living projects targeting social problems on the basis of multi-stakeholder participation at OPET. We strive to ensure that all our social responsibility projects reflect our corporate values and priorities. We continue to be the pioneer of social change, as in our slogan “OPET Makes, Everything Changes”.
The perception of “Jobs have no gender” is adopted at the social level.
"OPET Women's Power Project" started in 2018 with the aim of contributing to the increase of women's employment in Turkey. Within the scope of the project which was prepared in conjunction with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, to increase female employment at OPET stations, OPET aims to have at least two female employees at each station. Within the scope of the project, the number of women working at OPET stations has reached 3,000 and an increase of 69 percent has been recorded since the beginning of the project. While female fuel sales executives are employed in 73 provinces of Turkey today, the project which was initiated with the aim of increasing women's energy and labor in stations aims to adopt the perception that the profession has no gender at the social level. With the "OPET Women's Power Project", it is aimed to raise awareness with the aim of demonstrating that women can successfully exist in all areas of working life within the framework of the principle of equality of opportunity, and to create a radical change in women's employment in Turkey.
It initiated a development movement at the village scale
Within the scope of the Respect for History project carried out by OPET as a regional development and rehabilitation movement for the Gallipoli Peninsula, which is of great importance for our history, in addition to the practices that reveal the touristic potential in the region, programs are carried out to increase the quality of life of the local people. Within the scope of the 2018 International Year of Troy, Tevfikiye Village in the region was transformed into an Archeo-village, a first in the world. Support was given to the culture and tourism initiative launched on an international scale to promote Troy to the world as an ancient value of Anatolia. By increasing the existing tourism potential of Troy, the quality of life in Tevfikiye Village was further increased with local economic development. Tevfikiye village, where you take a break, visit, shop for organic vegetables and fruits, souvenirs and have motifs from the history of Troy, has been turned into an exemplary village that provides the best service to the visitors coming to the region.
